steve67car Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 thinking of selling the shazza but like the space and the flexabily of the seats so if you were changing what would you go for ? at the moment i have a 51 plate 2.0 petrol shaz did 3200 miles in her last year. only has 46k also have a t4 (trainspoter)transporter so was thinking along the lines of a t5 sportsline transporter derived bus so i could have just one car/van but still have a cool looking bus but have space as well so there you go what would you have instead of the old bus pls not your dream car as aston martin dont do people carriers with db9 v8 lumps in them (well if i won the lottery they may build it for me lol) Quote
Ronnie W. Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 Have to admit I am totally smitten with the new C4 Picasso. Having a hard time trying to persuade er indoors to change the Gal instead of her car, she has an old Astra and wants a C3 as there is a deal for 5 years 0% on them just now Quote
Guest gooner52 Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 if i still wanted the people carrieri would go for a newer mk2 galaxy or smax or mk3 galaxy Quote
Guest Cepheus Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 Have liked the look of the Mazda 5 since it came out. Not as big as the Gal/Shazza but still nice in other ways and with not as many on the roads could provide a unique appeal? Is basically the Jap version of the zaf/s-max but from Quote
Guest wolfie Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 so was thinking along the lines of a t5 sportsline transporter derived bus so i could have just one car/van but still have a cool looking bus but have space as well would have to go with you on the T5 :P but only after they find a fix for the steering shaft problem! so far they havent! if you mention it come service time all they do now is admit that it is a known problem and when they find a fix for it they will replace the faulty part free of charge if your out of warrenty :P which is nice of them! but it still scares the pants off you as you nail it through the bends when suddenly you can feel a large clunk and loose feeling of whats happening in the front end  rather unnerving to put it mildly at times while on opposite lock :P Quote
steve67car Posted December 29, 2006 Author Report Posted December 29, 2006 get that feeling in most fwd cars, you cant beat right foot down rse out out off trouble feel that a rwd car gives you but as most main manufactures all seam to go fwd well lose that option :) Quote
jkspoff Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 It would most probably be a Mazda 5 Furano for me, this one looks good: http://www.mazda.co.uk/Showroom/Mazda5/Maz...ery/Wallpapers/ Quote

Ivor_E_Tower Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 The C4 Picasso is only about 2 inches shorter than the Mark 2 Galaxy, and apparently it does not have a spare wheel/tyre, which rules it out as a family car as far as I am concerned. Even if I had money to change my Gal, I am really stumped as to what I would get. Same problem with lack of spare would put me off the latest Gal; Zafira, C4 Picasso etc don't seat 7 adults. 806/C8 have notable electrical gremlins and I think they look ugly, which leaves the Espace...but that has silly central digital instruments and an electric handbrake which is a pain to use (yup, I have taken a test drive). gregers Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 what about the fiat multipla? ;) Quote

Ivor_E_Tower Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 what about the fiat multipla? :) Ewwww, it's soooo ugly and even wider than the Galaxy, plus the boot is so short (even if it's wide). No thanks Quote
Mussey1 Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 Hi, I have been driving an S-MAX 1.8 TDCI Zetec for a few weeks (demo car). The S-MAX is great, I can't faut it at all. Space is as good as the MK1/2 Gal, performance is good and interior is great. Interestingly I received a flyer from Ford through the post and a new Galaxy 1.8 TDCI is Quote
Littlematt_2007 Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 looked at many mpv's recently we looked at the mazda 5 first put the seats in the back are quite small and the middle seat folds out of the left hand site seat in the 2nd row..... so the middle seat is firm and small!!! although the furano provides sport for an mpv!! it isnt really that practical. As for the s-mas it is a nice comprimise between the galaxy and the mazda 5 if your looking for ok size seats in the rear and individual middle seats..... personally i would still stick witha galaxy!!! Regards, Matt Quote
Ogben Schmutzel Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 When the kids pass their tests I might move away from the 7 seater and go for a Saab 9-5 estate. If I can afford it!! Other than that would be happy to stay with an Alhambra or a Galaxy. I do fancy a Galaxy for a change but no real preference, probably would be what came along first! Oggy. Quote
